On this round trip, which leads you from Arnsberg via the RuhrtalRadweg to Brilon and via the MöhnetalRadweg at the Möhnetalsperre back to Arnsberg, you will experience the diverse landscape of the Sauerland. In addition to attractive places with lots of cultural and enjoyment moments, the round tour offers lush meadows and green forests - nature to enjoy!

Day 1: Arnsberg - Brilon (approx. 50 km)
Your own journey to Arnsberg and direct start to the first stage along the RuhrtalRadweg in the direction of Hochsauerland via Meschede, Bestwig and Olsberg. From Olsberg the route follows the GeoRadroute "Ruhr Eder" to Brilon. The ascent from Olsberg to Brilon "has it in itself". Here you have to "grit your teeth" and master the gradient of 6.7% over 2.3 km. You will be rewarded with the beautiful Altstadt of Brilon. In Brilon you will spend the night in a central location so that you still have time to discover the Altstadt.

Day 2: Brilon - Möhnesee (approx. 50 km)
After breakfast, you will cycle along the MöhnetalRadweg to the southern shore of Lake Möhnesee, where you will spend the second night. This stage is approx. 50 km long and leads along a former railroad line without any ascents for the most part. Your destination, the Möhnesee, is one of the largest reservoirs in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Day 3: Möhnesee - Arnsberg (approx. 40 km)
Today you will continue along the southern shore on the MöhnetalRadweg in the direction of the dam wall. From here you have a wonderful view over the lake before the path leads you through the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park to Neheim. Here the MöhnetalRadweg ends and you return via the RuhrtalRadweg to Arnsberg, the starting and ending point of this eventful round trip. In Arnsberg you will stay overnight. You can explore the historic Altstadt on one of the popular city tours or on your own the narrow alleys and half-timbered houses.

Conclusion: A tour full of variety - in only three days you can experience the multifaceted landscape of the Sauerland!
