A bike ride is all well and good, but what’s the most important part of it? That’s right—the breaks!

Whether right along the RuhrtalRadweg or just a short detour away, you’ll find plenty of restaurants that welcome you and provide the refreshments you need along the way.

In the summer of 2026, there will be a special promotion: the RuhrtalRadweg 3-Course Menu.
All the restaurants listed on this page will have a special offer for you from June through August. You can order the respective dish upon request as part of the RuhrtalRadweg special at an exclusive discounted price.
This way, you can cycle your way to your very own personalized 3-course meal at three different partner restaurants and treat yourself to some culinary delights alongside your bike tour!

Whether you’re taking a day trip along the bike path—covering just a section and trying three restaurants in one day—or spending several days on the trail to explore the entire route, simply choose the dishes and offers that appeal to you most and hit the road. You decide the distances between the “courses” yourself.

Of course, your personal three-course meal can also be completely unconventional. Want to replenish the calories you’ve burned right away? Then just visit several cafés and sample the cakes, pastries, or ice cream flavors on offer.
Are you on the road for several days and want to treat yourself to a great dinner every night? You’re sure to find something!
Just be sure to check the regular opening hours of the establishments so you don’t end up standing in front of a closed door with a growling stomach.

Restaurant gift certificates from the participating establishments will be raffled off among all entries and posts.

Winners will be contacted directly via message on their respective platforms in early September. The winner may choose the restaurant for the gift certificate from among all participating establishments.

Welcome Hotel Meschede

A detour from the Ruhr Valley cycle path towards Lake Hennesee is always worthwhile - for example to stay overnight at the Welcome Hotel. The hotel's own restaurant offers a unique flair in the style of the 1950s with regional and international cuisine.

As part of the RuhrtalRadweg 3-course menu, the restaurant offers all cyclists a combination outside the regular menu:
Roasted chicken breast on creamed mushrooms with herb potatoes and a small garden salad including quark mousse with marinated berries for dessert at a price of €25.

Opening hours:
daily until 10 pm
The Ruhrtalradweg dish is served at lunchtime between 12 and 2 pm and in the evening between 6 and 8.45 pm.

Hotel Weila, Arnsberg

Hotel Weila in Arnsberg offers you the opportunity to start the day with breakfast.
And breakfast here means soul food!
Balm for the soul: fresh, regional and organic are your morning start-up for a sense of well-being that lasts well into the day. You put together your own soul food from a rich, regional selection that - you can bet - everyone will enjoy.

Arnsberg roasting plant

The Röstfachwerk in Arnsberg is a small, owner-managed roastery with a café. A selected, handcrafted range of products awaits you here. The focus is on high-quality specialty coffee and a fine, deliberately reduced selection of cakes.
The owners originally come from Vienna and reinterpret the classic Viennese coffee house culture in a modern way here in Arnsberg.

The RuhrtalRadweg offer here is a combination of a Viennese Melange or an extended coffee with a slice of Sacher-style chocolate cake for €6.50 instead of €7.50.

Restaurant Erlenhof, Wickede (Ruhr)

Delicious and authentic Greek cuisine awaits you at the Erlenhof restaurant in Wickede - down-to-earth and always good.

As a RuhrtalRadweg offer, you can choose between two starters for a little refreshment in between: either bruschetta (with tomatoes, herbs, olive oil and feta cheese) or garlic bread at the special price of €4.50 instead of the regular €7.20.
So you can recharge your batteries with a small snack without having to continue your journey on a full stomach. If you're hungrier, you can of course browse through the regular menu and find something tasty with a Mediterranean flair!

Rohrmeisterei Schwerte

Red brick and an eventful history since 1890 characterize this monument between the city and the river. Striking industrial culture, modern architecture and designed landscape form a special open space. A place where culture, enjoyment and the common good can be experienced as one.

At the center of the RuhrtalRadweg at the Rohrmeisterei in Schwerte, you can choose between starter, main course or dessert - depending on what suits your personal tour best. Of course, you can also treat yourself to the whole menu if you want to get on your bike afterwards.
Here you can expect:
- the famous Schwerter mustard soup or alternatively a small Rohrmeisterei salad for €8.50 instead of €8.90
- as a main course, the Viennese-style cyclist schnitzel of organic pork loin with mushroom sauce, fried egg and fried potatoes for €20.90 instead of €25.90
- or for dessert, the popular chocolate mousse with vanilla sauce for €5.90

Pasta Passion - handmade with love from Herdecke.

As the name suggests, the owners have been passionately dedicated to the art of pasta since 1997. Whether in the bistro, in the delicatessen or in their own pasta factory - everything here revolves around fresh taste, the best ingredients and a genuine Italian attitude to life.
A touch of Italy in Herdecke: golden dough, natural flavors and a love of craftsmanship make this pasta so special. Each portion brings warmth, joy and the feeling of enjoying a piece of real dolce vita - fresh, honest and made with passion.

House Oveney on Lake Kemnade, Bochum

Haus Oveney on the Kemnade reservoir harmoniously combines tradition and innovation. The food on offer ranges from traditional panhas, chicken, pork or vegan schnitzel to vegan Maultaschen. The kitchen is open from 11 a.m. until the evening and will spoil you with hearty dishes as well as home-baked waffles, apple strudel and various cakes.
The team will be happy to help you recover from your bike ride and offer you friendly service at your table.

As a Ruhr Valley Cycle Path offer, you can choose between the Stiepel pork currywurst with French fries or the vegetarian spinach dumplings with mushroom cream sauce. You can also enjoy a non-alcoholic Radler or Pils for a total price of €17.90.
If you mention the promotion, a scoop of ice cream from Bochum-based ice cream maker Iam Love will be served free of charge with all other food and drinks costing at least €17.90.

A selection of special offers awaits you at the Heineken Garden directly on Lake Kemnade.

Dolcinella - sweet & fine food, Essen-Werden

The Dolcinella Werden is located in a beautiful building dating back to 1860 with a lovely beer garden. In addition to breakfast and lunch, the Dolcinella has a special love for sweets - there are homemade macarons, ultra-creamy Basque cheesecake, tartelettes au citron, Viennese nut tartlets, lemon cheesecake and always a vegan tartlet option. The signature tartlet is the cannelé - a sweet traditional pastry from Bordeaux with a caramelized crust and a pudding-like soft center. Only organic eggs are used for all products.

The RuhrtalRadweg offer here is "Café & Cannelé": a large Café Crème and a Cannelé for €6 instead of the regular €7.60.
