On this circular tour, which takes you from Arnsberg via the RuhrtalRadweg to Brilon and back to Arnsberg via the MöhnetalRadweg along the Möhnetal dam, you will experience the diverse landscape of the Sauerland. In addition to attractive places with plenty of cultural and culinary delights, the circular tour offers lush meadows and green forests - nature to enjoy!

Day 1: Arnsberg - Brilon (approx. 50 km)
Travel to Arnsberg on your own and set off directly on the first stage along the RuhrtalRadweg towards Hochsauerland via Meschede, Bestwig and Olsberg. From Olsberg, the route follows the "Ruhr Eder" GeoRadroute to Brilon. The ascent from Olsberg to Brilon "has it all". Here you have to "grit your teeth" and master the gradient of 6.7% over 2.3 km. You will be rewarded with the beautiful Altstadt of Brilon. Your overnight stay in Brilon is centrally located so that you still have time to discover the Altstadt.

Day 2: Brilon - Möhnesee (approx. 50 km)
Well fortified, after breakfast you cycle along the MöhnetalRadweg to the southern shore of the Möhnesee, where the second overnight stay is planned. This stage is approx. 50 km long and runs along a former railroad line with no inclines for the most part. Your destination, the Möhnesee, is one of the largest reservoirs in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Day 3: Möhnesee - Arnsberg (approx. 40 km)
Today you continue along the southern shore on the MöhnetalRadweg towards the dam wall. From here you have a wonderful view over the lake before the route continues through the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park to Arnsberg-Neheim. The MöhnetalRadweg ends here and you cycle along the RuhrtalRadweg back to Arnsberg, the start and end point of this eventful circular tour. An overnight stay is planned in Arnsberg. You can explore the historic Altstadt on one of the popular guided tours or explore the narrow streets and half-timbered houses on your own.

Conclusion: A varied tour - in just three days, you can discover the multifaceted landscape of the Sauerland!
