Arrive and start cycling! Enjoy our complete service on this tour: We organize hotels, luggage transfer and have all the important information ready for you in our tour package. Along the entire 240-kilometre route, you will experience the pristine landscapes of the Sauerland and the exciting Ruhr metropolis.

Day 1: Winterberg
Individual arrival and overnight stay

Day 2: Winterberg - Ostwig area (30 km)
The cycle route starts at the source of the Ruhr. The ride takes you through the beautiful low mountain range landscape of the Sauerland.

Day 3: Ostwig area - Arnsberg (35 km)
The Benedictine abbey in Meschede offers carefully selected products. Arrival in Arnsberg with its well-preserved medieval Altstadt.

Day 4: Arnsberg - Fröndenberg (40 km)
At Wickede, the wooded mountains of the Sauerland along the Haarstrang merge into the Börde landscape. There are many old farms along the Hellweg that have survived the centuries. Arrival in Fröndenberg, the "town of chains".

Day 5: Fröndenberg - Witten (47 km)
The route leads past Schwerte. A historic grain distillery and the mustard museum await you here. You cycle along the Hengstey and Harkot lakes to Witten.

Day 6: Witten - Essen (approx. 45 km)
In the "Zeche Nachtigall" museum in the Muttental valley, you can explore a real coal seam. In Hattingen, the old "Henrichshütte" is particularly worth seeing. In Essen, a detour to Villa Hügel is worthwhile.

Day 7: Essen - Duisburg (35 km)
Between Kettwig and Duisburg, the route leads through the town of Mülheim. There is plenty of nature here, as only a small part of the banks of the Ruhr are built on. Duisburg, where the Ruhr flows into the Rhine, is home to Europe's largest inland port.

Day 8: Individual return journey.

Conclusion: 8 days of cycling and relaxing - someone else will take care of the rest. A vacation can be so beautiful.

- Bus transfer for people, own bikes and luggage from Duisburg to Winterberg at 10.00 am (duration approx. 2.5 hours, € 175.00 per person)
