Arnsberg is located in one of the largest contiguous forest areas in Germany. The Arnsberg Forest Nature Park is a unique nature reserve with an exemplary network of hiking trails for pure enjoyment of nature. Historic Arnsberg is well worth a visit and can be discovered particularly well on exciting guided tours of the town. The shopping town of Neheim is lively and modern and is an attraction for the whole region. Arnsberg is one of the most historically significant towns on the well-developed Ruhr Valley Cycle Route. The Ruhr flows through Arnsberg over a distance of more than 30 km, demonstrating the versatility of the town.
