From now on you can cycle trees on the Ruhr Valley cycle path!

A very special event awaits you in the anniversary year 2026: Cycle for trees!

Cycle the Ruhr Valley Cycle Path and make your contribution to climate protection! You cycle, we plant a tree - it's easy.

The concept is simple: for every cyclist who rides the entire 240-kilometre Ruhr Valley Cycle Path, a tree will be planted in Winterberg as part of the "Planting for tomorrow today" campaign.

To prove that you have cycled the entire route, there is a code at the start and end points. You will find the sticker with the title "Bäume erradeln" on the information boards at the starting point in Winterberg (both on the information sign at the train station in Winterberg and visible from the outside at the Tourist Info Winterberg) and at the end point in Duisburg (the sticker is located on the sign at the Duisburg inner harbor and at the Tourist Info in Duisburg). Attention: Unfortunately, the sticker on the board in Duisburg's inner harbor does not stick correctly. If you want to be on the safe side and there is no sticker on the board, please ride a few pedal strokes further to the Tourist Info(Königstraße 86, 47051 Duisburg)

For all those who cannot start in Winterberg due to the current travel restrictions, a sticker has also been attached to the information board in Olsberg. You can also scan this.

You can submit the code you receive digitally at the end of your trip. The code word works both if you ride the route from the source to the mouth and vice versa.

As a small thank you and a memento, you will receive a certificate of your tree sponsorship from us at the end.
