The Fresekenhof in Neheim, a 14th-century castle steward’s house that was rebuilt in the 17th century, is an important monument to regional history. Its original function as part of the town’s fortifications illustrates Neheim’s historical defensive capabilities. The building houses a stylish wedding chapel. It also features a permanent exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Franz Stock, which highlights his formative influence on German-French understanding. Through 34 panels and ten display cases, the exhibition presents the key stages of his peacemaking efforts as well as examples of his artistic work.
