Welcome to the Sauerland Museum in Arnsberg

The Sauerland Museum is the cultural history museum of the Hochsauerland district for the history of Südwestfalen.
As a museum and cultural forum, it fulfills the task of enriching cultural life in the Sauerland region with attractive exhibitions and events in architecture that has won numerous awards.

In the historic Landsberger Hof, the Sauerland Museum's permanent exhibition tells the story of the region from its beginnings in the Stone Age through the Duchy of Westfalen to the present day.

In the new building, the special exhibition "WUNDER WALD" on the economic and cultural history of the forest in the Sauerland can be seen until October 29.

Cyclists are welcome in the museum. There are permanently installed bicycle racks in the museum courtyard. During the museum visit, e-bikes can be charged at one of the six charging stations.

The museum café with outdoor catering provides refreshment after a long bike ride with a cool cyclist or, of course, coffee and cake.

Museum tours for groups can be booked individually.

Opening hours:

Tues. 9 a.m.-6 p.m., Wed.-Fri. 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Sat. 2-6 p.m., Sun. and holidays: 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
