84 km of cycling fun for families and touring cyclists: that’s the SauerlandRadring. The 40-km-long HenneseeSchleife connects the SauerlandRadring through the picturesque Wennetal valley down to the Ruhrtal, the county seat of Meschede, and the Hennetal Dam. To the north, it connects to the train stations in Meschede and Freienohl and links the SauerlandRadring with the very popular RuhrtalRadweg.
Running right through the heart of the Sauerland, it connects Finnentrop, Eslohe, Schmallenberg, and Lennestadt in a relaxed manner. The climbs are moderate and make for an enjoyable ride, as the loop follows a former railroad right-of-way.
