Route of industrial heritage

Logo Velociped

On former railroad lines and beautiful canal bank paths, on the newly created Emscher Cycle Path and the green Ruhrtal Cycle Path, you cycle directly to the industrial cultural highlights of the Ruhrgebiet. The circular tour takes you to former smelting works, collieries and coking plants, spectacularly designed Haldens or magnificent entrepreneurial villas and combines industrial culture, enjoyment of nature and leisure fun in an almost unique way. The daily tours take you underground and to lofty heights, you are guided through the Duisburg-Nord Landscape Park by bike and on foot through the UNESCO World Heritage Zeche Zollverein, you stand at the blast furnace and sail relaxed through Duisburg harbor. You will get to know the many sights in a varied way, experience a very special journey to fascinating, truly extraordinary places in the "Ruhr cycling region" and at the same time be amazed at how fresh and green the Ruhrgebiet presents itself today.

This individual bike tour is unique because it includes 5 exciting, varied and informative guided tours on the diverse topic of industrial culture, mostly exclusively for our guests. (The tour can also be booked without the guided tours)
