Weitmar Castle Park in Bochum is a significant cultural and natural site that captivates visitors with its diverse offerings. The grounds include the four-story cube erected by Situation Kunst in 2010, as well as the Museum unter Tage, which opened in 2015 and presents rotating exhibitions across an area of approximately 1,500 square meters. The park is home to 14 works of concrete art, created by seven artists between 1972 and 2015. The adjacent 80-hectare forest area, Weitmarer Holz, and a picturesque pond offer space for relaxation. The well-maintained paths, children’s playgrounds, and benches invite visitors to linger. As part of the 2010 redesign, the ruins of the Sylvester Chapel were also restored, adding a historical dimension to the park.
