The Ramsbeck visitor mine in Sauerland offers a comprehensive presentation of the region's mining history. The surface museum presents the development of mining from the medieval hammer and iron to the large drilling rigs of the 20th century. It shows how the miners' working environment was structured and which tools were used.

A central element is the entrance to the Eickhoff tunnel with an original mine train. After a journey of around ten minutes, the tour begins underground. You can explore the underground double-drum winding machine, the 420-metre deep blind shaft and the tipping point.

The Ramsbeck mining trail starts directly at the visitor mine. The eleven-kilometre circular tour has 41 informative boards that explain the far-reaching impact of mining on the Ramsbeck landscape and provide insights into the history of the industry. An audio guide is available to accompany visitors on the underground tours.
