Few people today can remember the childhood days of the radio, but in Duisburg it can be experienced in the Radio Museum. Here you can see the first prototypes of radios, different versions of the popular receiver and the first portable radios, which were used to listen to musical sounds on excursions
Radio collectors have been exhibiting over 350 radios, some still in working order, from several decades in the museum since 1994. Old and sometimes quite exotic tape recorders and record players are also on display. All of this is presented very vividly and lovingly. For example, a room from the early years of radio has been recreated, in which the radio was still a presentable, elegant piece of furniture.
