The Kneipp Adventure Park in Olsberg stretches along the Kneipp Active Trail and the Ruhr and Gierskopp rivers, incorporating the five pillars of the Kneipp teachings in its design elements. The route first leads to the Kneipp herb garden and the adjacent orchard, where the focus is on sensory experiences with medicinal plants and nature. The next section is the historic Dr. Grüne Kneipp Park, which includes a Kneipp facility integrated into a pond, a barefoot path and various relaxation islands. Other places for relaxation include the OlsbergEck, a landscape point in the center between the Ruhr and Gierskoppbach, the renaturalized Ruhrauen outside the city center and the life garden of the Josefsheim Bigge, which reflects the element of balance in the Kneipp teachings. The natural water treading area "Leap over the water" in the Gierskoppbach stream and the arm pools at the tourist information office illustrate the importance of water. The Generation Park, opened in 2015 and focused on the theme of exercise, and the exercise trail offer a variety of opportunities for physical activity outdoors, designed for all age groups. The park is a barrier-free green axis that appeals to visitors of all generations.
