The Kemnader See leisure paradise is particularly popular with water lovers in the summer months. Then you have the opportunity to splash around and swim your laps in the Heveney leisure pool and enjoy a real vacation feeling under palm trees on the 1,500 m² of the StrandDeck on Kemnader See. Make yourself comfortable with your feet in the sand of the beach club or enjoy the cool water in the leisure pool - however, swimming is not permitted in the Kemnader reservoir itself. Sailors and surfers will also get their money's worth. A boat rental service allows you to be a captain yourself.

Active sports on Kemnader See

Lake Kemnader See is also an El Dorado for sporting activities. Do you like skating with your friends? Then the well-developed 10-kilometre "Ruhr Inline" circuit with a great panorama is just the thing for you. The new trend sport is stand-up paddling: Stand-up paddling puts your sense of balance to the test. You can take your first steps at the "WestUfer" surf school. It doesn't just specialize in action on the water. You can also go on tours on land from here - on a longboard.

Around the lake by bike

Lake Kemnader See is also a great destination for a cycle tour through the most beautiful areas of the Ruhr region. The recreational area is connected to the popular RuhrtalRadweg, which runs for around 230 kilometers from Winterberg to Duisburg. At Kemnader See, you can fortify yourself for the return journey and try out the food and drink on offer in one of the cafés, snack bars or restaurants.
