The Kaisergarten Oberhausen extends over around 28 hectares and presents itself as a spacious park with extensive woodland and meadow areas. Within the park grounds, the results of the "EmscherErlebnis Oberhausen" project are located around the walkable bridge sculpture "Slinky Springs To Fame" - which extends from the Kaisergarten into the New Emscher Valley - and provide interesting landscaping accents. A central component of the Kaisergarten is the animal enclosure, which is home to around 500 native animals from 25 mammal species and 45 bird species over an area of 5.5 hectares. Interaction with some of the animals is possible by means of automatic feeders provided in the park. Additional information is provided by the Nature Experience School, which teaches about the local fauna. A children's playground completes the offer, while a mini-golf course provides opportunities for active pursuits.
