Directions

The Essen-Kupferdreh (HTB) train station is located right next to the old Essen-Kupferdreh station, which now houses the restaurant "Lukas." Just a few meters away, the "Hardenbergufer" lakeside promenade begins along Baldeneysee. Directions by Car Take the Essen-Heisingen (41) exit on the A44/B227. If coming from Essen, continue straight through the exit; if coming from Velbert/Wuppertal, turn left. Follow the main road to the Old Kupferdreh Station. The Hespertalbahn and a parking lot are located on the right-hand side. Destination for navigation systems: Prinz-Friedrich-Platz 3, 45257 Essen (Note: Prinz-Friedrich-Straße is located elsewhere!) By Train Take the S9 or RE49 to Essen-Kupferdreh. From there, it’s a 5- to 10-minute walk (approx. 400 m) to the Alte Bahnhof Kupferdreh. By bus Take bus lines 141, 177, or 180 to Kupferdreh Bahnhof (S). From there, it’s a 5- to 10-minute walk (approx. 400 m) to the Alte Bahnhof Kupferdreh. Take bus lines 153 or 155 to the Prinz-Friedrich-Straße stop. This stop is located directly at the Alte Bahnhof Kupferdreh. Zementfabrik Station: From Kupferdreh Station (Hespertalbahn), take the Hardenbergufer riverside path (bike and pedestrian path) toward the boat landing; walk past it, then continue about 250 m and go up the ramp to the station. Total distance from the Old Station: approx. 500 m. Accessible only on foot! Haus Scheppen Station From the boat dock or parking lot, walk along Pörtingssiepenstraße until you reach the turnoff for Hardenbergufer (bike and pedestrian path), then follow the signs for about 250 meters.
