Bergkloster Bestwig is the seat of the Provincialate of the European Province of the Sisters of St. Mary Magdalene Postel. Since its establishment between 1965 and 1971, it has functioned as a motherhouse and place of life for the sisters. The convent offers the opportunity to take part in retreats and retreat days, which creates space for reflection.
Visitors can explore the convent on request as part of a guided tour, which includes an insight into the one-world store. Guest rooms are available for overnight stays, providing a base for travelers on the RuhrtalRadweg or the Sauerland-Waldroute. There is a special infrastructure for cyclists with storage facilities and bicycles for hire.
Bergkloster Bestwig has various rooms for business purposes and events:
The Felsensaal offers space for 60 to 80 people, the Kapitelsaal for 120 people. A small hall can accommodate 45 people. There are also seminar rooms such as the Ruhrtalblick for 30 people, Breberg for 15 people, Klosterpark for 12 people, a conference room at the fountain for 20 people and a conference room at the crypt for 12 people.
The conference rooms are equipped with flipcharts, metaplan boards, magnetic boards, presentation cases, overhead projectors, TV, video, screens, projectors, notebooks, photocopiers and fax machines.

Directions
Take the R74 bus from Bestwig train station to Bestwig Schulzentrum. From there approx. 6 minutes on foot to the Bergkloster. Alternatively: 16 minutes on foot.
