The Bergkloster Bestwig is the seat of the Provincialate of the European Province of the Sisters of St. Mary Magdalene Postel. Since its construction between 1965 and 1971, it has served as the motherhouse and home of the sisters. The monastery offers the opportunity to participate in retreats and days of reflection, providing a space for contemplation.
Visitors can explore the monastery upon request as part of guided tours, which include a look inside the “One World” shop. Guest rooms are available for overnight stays, serving as a base for travelers on the RuhrtalRadweg or the Sauerland-Waldroute. Special facilities for cyclists, including bike storage and bike rentals, are available.

The Felsensaal can accommodate 60 to 80 people, and the Kapitelsaal can accommodate 120 people. A smaller hall holds 45 people. Additionally, seminar rooms such as the “Ruhrtalblick” for 30 people, “Breberg” for 15 people, “Klosterpark” for 12 people, a conference room by the fountain for 20 people, and a conference room by the crypt for 12 people are available.
The conference rooms are equipped with flipcharts, Metaplan walls, magnetic boards, presentation kits, overhead projectors, TVs, VCRs, screens, projectors, laptops, copiers, and fax machines.
