Welcome to the (traditional) Haus Oveney in Bochum

Come dine and celebrate with us and enjoy a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere. For the past 15 years, Anne Behrenbeck and the Haus Oveney team have been delighting countless guests at this 150-year-old former farmhouse.

Our cozy café-restaurant, with its large Biergarten and outdoor dining area right on the RuhrtalRadweg, invites you to linger.

Haus Oveney is open year-round and offers delicious cuisine perfect for a day trip. The regional specialty, Panhas, and the ever-changing “Schnitzel of the Month” are particularly popular. A wide variety of delicacies—available in both meat-based and plant-based (vegan) options—are sure to pique your curiosity. Delicious fresh waffles, ice cream from the Bochum-based ice cream maker IamLove, and baked goods round out the vacation vibe. Enjoy a delicious summer aperitif while relaxing in the lounge chairs in the garden area on the lawn. And when it drizzles, the beautiful Biergarten transforms into a large covered hall.

For cyclists, there are plenty of parking spaces and charging stations available. Dogs have their own menu.

In addition, we offer an extensive range of leisure activities for all ages. Under the theme “Culture & Cuisine,” you’ll have the opportunity to participate in various events. Theater walks, murder mystery dinners, musical evenings featuring different countries, team quizzes, hypnosis shows, whiskey tastings, and much more are on the program in both summer and winter. A bowling alley also provides plenty of team fun. Changing art exhibitions in the dining areas provide additional entertainment.
