Ergotec: A strong partner

The Ruhr Valley Cycle Route is a prime example of a cross-sector collaboration that forms a strong cycle route together. And one of these partners has been the ergotec brand since 2019. A match in terms of content and location: ergonomic cycling is an important building block for anyone making a longer journey by bike and cyclists virtually pass the company premises in Wickede an der Ruhr on the 240 km route.

The ergotec experience hub is located just a few meters from the Ruhr Valley cycle path in Wickede an der Ruhr.

Many cyclists like to take a break on the renaturalized bank in Wickede an der Ruhr on their tour along the RuhrtalRadweg. There are plenty of places to sit and picnic benches here, the Ruhr shows its most beautiful side and a large graffiti with a kingfisher adorns the edge of the path. The ergotec employees - who are practically right next door - also like to come here for their lunch break and enjoy the Ruhr as a little break from their daily work routine.

The ergotec brand offers a wide range of products that can be purchased from specialist dealers.

The ergotec brand stands for safe and ergonomic cycling and aims to support cyclists in an ergonomic riding style. The ergotec brand products are available from many specialist retailers. In the ergotec experience hub, they are regularly trained and informed about the latest product standards. This enables them to pass on their knowledge to cyclists at the time of purchase and provide appropriate advice to ensure a pain-free ride, even on long tours.

The ergotec experience hub is not open to the public for cyclists - but an exception has already been made for the winners of a trade fair competition in cooperation with the RuhralRadweg. As part of an exclusive bike fitting, the two winners were able to enjoy lots of information on the subject of ergonomic riding - just one example of good and comprehensive cooperation.

The training of specialist dealers also falls within the remit of ergotec.

The cooperation between the RuhrtalRadweg and ergotec has grown successfully in recent years and some exciting projects have been implemented, from competitions to video series and detailed information pages in the RuhrtalRadweg's print products.
